Over the years Inspire Church has been home for a season, a lifetime, or were just passing through for the weekend for many. throughout all of these seasons, we have remained committed to carrying a heart for the disillusioned and a vision to love without agenda. Inspire Church has continued to be a vibrant home for many, reflecting the openness, diversity, and inclusiveness of our community. At Inspire, people form deep connections as they navigate their spiritual journeys and discover their purpose. We've witnessed countless people, carrying religious and "life trauma," find restoration and re-encounter or discover Jesus as a central and loving part of their unique human story. It’s a story that includes families who have grown together, couples who met and married, and individuals who have found belonging, purpose, and meaningful connection.
We have moved from being a more nomadic church as we moved every two years from cinemas to shophouses. For the past six years, however, we’ve found a home at TRIO, a spacious and creative venue that has allowed us to grow in purpose, and serve our area more effectively. This has opened doors to meaningful partnerships with nonprofits and NGOs, making a difference in our local community. Our time here has not only strengthened our vision but also laid a strong foundation for lasting impact in Little India and in the heart of Singapore.
This August, we’re making a significant move. Due to rising rental costs, staying in our current property on the second-floor is no longer sustainable. Thankfully, we’ve been able to negotiate a solution that keeps us in the same building. We’ll be relocating to a new section of the fourth floor, a more compact, and light-filled area, away from the bustle of the mall. Thankfully, this move upstairs allows us to continue operating within the same monthly expenses. We have big dreams as we intentionally pray for this next season to create a new Inspire venue that others can call their church home. We envision it as an urban green space and a retreat from the busyness of Singapore. During services, every centimetre will be utilised. We have allocated rooms for an auditorium, kids’ church, hospitality area, and parents’ room, as well as a BBQ area for lunch after the service, with an amazing indoor-outdoor flow between the roof terrace and lounge spaces. During the week, these spaces will be open to the church and our community partners for study, meditation, prayer, and to read, relax, and take mini breaks as we create space for what God is doing in each individual’s life. Our rooms will also serve as a place where we meet collectively to pray intentionally for the areas we can impact in our community. We will continue to provide venues and resources for other organisations and are building with even more intentionality to support them. More details are included in the mood boards at the end of this letter.
We have launched a vision offering for June and July to help cover the costs of reinstatement and the new setup, which exceed our current monthly budget. This offering aims to raise the $150,000 needed to reinstate our old units for handover and prepare the new space, including funds for security deposits and legal fees. We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this vision offering. Your generous support will make a lasting difference as we step into this new season together. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to continuing Inspire Church Singapore in a space where lives can be transformed. To contribute to the building fund, banking details are provided via Stripe or via PayNow for those in Singapore; please use the term 'VISION' when sending your offering :).
